From Dry-Transfer Lettering to AI

Not a talk about how AI works — but about what happens when you start using it.
I’ve worked in graphic design since the late 1980s and experienced many changes in technology — from artwork prepared by hand and dry-transfer lettering to Photoshop and today’s AI tools.
In 2023, I started experimenting with ChatGPT and Midjourney. First with text and images, then with music, film, websites and code. Suddenly, I could try out ideas myself that would previously have required different skills, bigger budgets or more people.
In From Dry-Transfer Lettering to AI I show what actually happened when I started using these new tools: what they made possible, what worked, what went horribly wrong — and how much I still rely on everything I learned long before AI came along.
Expect images, music and examples from my own projects. The talk is personal, entertaining and inspiring, and requires no technical knowledge.

I’m based in Byske and mainly give talks in Skellefteå and the surrounding area, but also take bookings in Piteå, Luleå and Umeå. Return travel by car from Byske is charged separately at the rate below.

A planning conversation and standard preparation are included. The organiser provides a screen or projector and sound equipment. Specially tailored content is quoted separately.
Talk + DJ on the same evening
SEK 7,500 including VAT (SEK 6,000 excluding VAT)
A talk of approximately 60 minutes and up to three hours of DJ music, on the same day and at the same venue. A break of up to one hour between the two is included. Longer waiting time is priced in advance.
The DJ set uses the organiser’s suitable PA system. For smaller events, my own speaker may be included by agreement.
Return travel by car from Byske: SEK 50 per 10 km including VAT (SEK 40 excluding VAT), based on the actual distance driven. Any parking, accommodation and additional equipment are agreed in advance. You’ll receive a total price before booking.
